CHAPTER 5                      AMY’S LETTER

 

Charlie was afraid to go out after having the nightmare, He couldn’t come over the news and dream which he had on the night. He called Alfred, one of his favorite staff. Alfred cared a lot about Charlie and he helped Charlie to grow in his past life when his parents died. Alfred was Charlie’s godfather, and with him, Charlie opened his club and got the name of the best club.

 CJ was moving towards Pacific high, to find Charlie. His mission is to find Charlie and warn or kill. He was afraid that he might get caught by the security service officers or patrol since James advertised and warned the pupil to kill CJ. He wasn’t worried; he needed to finish the mission and only a few hours were left for the night, and this night would decide CJ’s Dawn. CJ started his way toward the club. His journey toward the club would take an hour. He was hiding behind the bush and trees when the vehicle passes on the way. His way was easier compared to what he thought, no one found him, except now. As he kept his Foot in the city, He saw the person whom he was afraid of, James found him and he was giving an evil smile. Well, here you come, I knew you’ll come here CJ as I predicted. James wasn’t scared and he wasn’t reacting to it and the Dark started in the sky.

Charlie arranged his club and there were only a few seats available on this special occasion, He was expecting Mille and made some special arrangements for her. He closed the reservation for the club and the club opens at 7 in the evening. He turned on the television and changed the channel to check about the prisoner, as a lot of people turn out to be in the club. There was news that grasped Charlie’s attention a lady who went for a walk on the state high, was found to be unconscious on the sides, and one of the people who drove towards the city found her, as we checked with the officer, we got the lady’s name, her name was Millie. Charlie couldn’t control his tears, the news was running on the sides, since James gave the order to be safe, this issue might have happened by the prisoner, Charlie couldn’t move and sat on the chair. He called Alfred, but he wasn’t nearby and no one was near Charlie. He wiped his tears and he moved his chair and called his staff, he explained to them, it’ll be one of the greatest evenings, that would have happened in the club, he requested his staff to maintain the decorum and called the security staff to follow each movement on the surveillance camera. A few teens started to enter the club, couples holding hands and they ordered a few drinks, as an emblem of love, Charlie recommended a Love potion cocktail, few couples ordered and they were mesmerized by the drink, it’s a drink which was made with vodka and pinkish soda and few Ice cubes and a heart-shaped edible candy on the top. Charlie was happy by seeing the club filled and it was filled. Charlie went to his room and there weren’t any issues with the people, he hoped Millie would come here, but he didn’t find her. Charlie wasn’t happy about what he had done the previous night, he took a cigarette and smoked, a small tear was coming from the side of his eyes, he blamed himself for not dropping her on the previous night. He couldn’t control himself and he took the Isabella sley and poured it into the whiskey glass, He had it plainly and he has almost gone to 5 cups of that. He couldn’t control himself; he took a roll and smoked it. Charlie went to the main area, people were dancing, DJ was playing some EDM, He couldn’t control himself, he was having hallucinations and heard a few girls laughing in his ears, He was sad and was crying and felt like no one was around him.

The time was past 11, the club was crowded, and people were drunk and vibing to the songs which DJ was playing. CJ was still high and he was smoking a cigarette and walked towards the corridor. The DJ increased the volume of the song, the lyrics were going I’m just tryin to feel my heartbeat beat. Charlie was standing and he found something strange happened, he looked at the exit, there was a face which he could recognize and he moved towards him, the face started to fade and it changed to an old man, who was having greyish hair and a greyish beard. His adrenaline raised, and his mind became clear for a while. In his mind, a few lines were going, the prisoner looks old with white hair, Charlie couldn’t control his anger and went and slapped his face. CJ fell to the ground and his ear got blocked, he couldn’t hear, and he held Charlie’s leg, Charlie wasn’t seeing and people on the sides were shouting on the sides. Charlie picked CJ up and smashed him to the wall, his forehead started to bleed, and CJ tried to convince Charlie, but he couldn’t. Charlie kicked him and he was furious and he held his head and smashed on the floor. CJ became unconscious and he shouted.

People around Charlie became scared, and they ran toward the DJ. They were screaming and informed there has been a murder. Charlie was calling his staff, but no one turned up but Alfred turned up, He saw CJ’s body on the ground, a tear from his dropped to the floor. He moved towards CJ and tapped on his shoulder, James, wake up, shouted Alfred. Charlie hasn’t seen Alfred crying, He tried to convince Alfred.

Alf, this guy was the prisoner who escaped.

Alfred held Charlie’s collar and shouted the man on the floor is Charlie’s Dad. Charlie couldn’t believe it; he wasn’t convinced about what Alfred said to him. Charlie wasn’t believing it, Alfred asked Charlie to check his jacket pocket, he found the letter and it was the letter which Charlie got a few days back and Charlie wasn’t surprised and Alfred read his expression and before Charlie’s question, he replied it was James last letter, which he wrote to your mom. He flew and he contacted me before coming here.  Charlie tore the envelope and opened the letter.

Hey Amy, I knew its unimaginable, I feel, I’m going to die. I haven’t said this to you, but I care about you and I love you. There was an incident and a person tried to bargain with me and tried to assassinate me. If anything happens to me, don’t let Charlie down, he needs to grow and make the club even better. He will be with you and he will take care of you, Amy. If anything goes wrong, Alfred will be with us, I love you and I love Charlie more than you Amy. With love James.

 

Charlie fell to the ground, he cried and groaned. Alfred tried to console him and tried to hide him, but he resisted Alfred and went outside the club. He saw a woman, who was familiar to Charlie. He walked towards the lady; it was Millie. He ran towards her, she opened the Mercedes Benz C class. He approached her and called her. she saw Charlie, a guy who got out of the car. Charlie was confused and he enquired with her, Millie replied as her car got broken down and there was an accident. Charlie couldn’t accept the reply. He asked whether Millie saw him, she chuckled and replied 'yes, we had a drink 3 days before and you prepared a special for my boyfriend”. Charlie controlled his tears and went inside, He smoked a cigarette and asked Alfred, and tears flowing from Charlie’s eyes didn’t stop, Alfred explained about charlie’s past, but Charlie didn’t hear any of this. He closed his eyes and recalled the past few days. All he remembered was, he spent his time alone, he was hallucinating, and was affected by over usage of the drug.  Alfred came and told “CJ will come and will save your breath”, he opened his eyes and saw the bill, the word which was missing in the riddle was ‘save’. He felt bad, he could have finished the puzzle, when he had an opportunity, but he didn’t, instead, he smoked the roll. Charlie had two options, either to get surrendered or to escape. He thought wisely and His decision was unacceptable for Alfred. He realized his lethargic action made him do this. He killed his father, he dialed 911 from his mobile and informed him about the situation. The emergency patrol came, and an ambulance, nurse came and took CJ, from the ground and kept him on the stretcher. The security officers came and enquired about the case, and Charlie went and accepted the truth. Police were arrested and there was a court hearing regarding charlie’s case that came to an end, Charlie was guilty, and he was punished with 2 years in jail.

 

Charlie entered the cell, and he was getting peace of mind, he wasn’t sorry for the case, and his hallucination and his addiction to drugs started to reduce. He was relaxing and he was happy to get a break, all he missed was his godfather Alfred, who helped him and raised him when he was young, he was happy that the club was in his hand. A guy sitting in the next cell was smiling and asked Charlie, missing your home yeah? his face was covered by a bandage, his hand was fractured. His face looks familiar to Charlie. He enquired him, why he came to his cell. He replied, he was doing illegal activities, and he was smacked by a person, near Pacific high, the officers found his criminal records and arrested him. The guy repeated the question, and Charlie smiled and replied that he never missed anything and that he is happy with the things he has. The guy smiled and introduced himself,

myself James and gave an evil smile….
